USA Imports - ISF FAQs
1. AMS manifest does NOT need to be filed for ISF data to be filed. We only need the AMS B/L NUMBER for identification of the shipment to CBP.
2. Vessel information to be provided is that of the MOTHER VESSEL. If the shipment is routed on a Feeder Vessel, you MUST provide the MOTHER VESSEL information in addition to the Feeder Vessel information along with all applicable DATES.
The 96 hour prior to etd deadline we have set to receive ISF is 96 hours for the Mother Vessel, not the Feeder Vessel.
3. MBL Numbers ARE NOT required for filing ISF.
4. Stuffing Location and Consolidator ARE NOT required for filing FLEXIBLE TIMING data. If you have all applicable ISF data elements except these two, get your ISF filed immediately and amend the filing once you have Stuffing Location and Consolidator information.
5. The ISF Data Element form is only required if the Shipper provided it to origin. Phoenix / Agent Origin offices ARE NOT required to complete this form or have it completed. The ISF Importer, US Customer, is responsible for ALL ISF data other than booking details.
6. XX Origin / Agent Origin offices: as a forwarder/NVOCC, XX International is responsible for providing certain details of import shipments to the US Customer: AMS B/L number assigned to the shipme
